Ticketmaster
Ticketmaster is a global live-event ticketing company known for concert, sports and entertainment sales, distribution and venue technology.
1976
Ticketmaster’s public disputes have centred on service fees, ticket availability, resale controls, high-demand sales and its influence over venues and promoters. Major flashpoints have included Pearl Jam’s 1990s antitrust challenge, The Cure’s 2023 fee dispute and the failed Taylor Swift Eras Tour presale. In April 2026, a federal jury found Ticketmaster and Live Nation liable on monopolization counts; remedies had not yet been set, while a separate DOJ proposed final judgment remained under federal settlement review.
